Has anyone lowered their FEH to improve fuel economy. I mostly commute freeway 70 miles round trip a day at 55 in cruise. Lowering your vehicle may improve aerodynamics so just wondered if anyone has tried it. The springs are less then $300 dollars for a 1.6 inch drop all around. (original story)

I have found carbon fiber hoods for my FEH and wondered if it would make a measurable MPG gain. Some have suggested dropping the spare tire for a 1-2 MPG gain I am assuming based on the weight savings. A carbon fiber hood could save quite a few pounds.
