There were even some bright spots in the numbers with the Malibu being up 192 percent and the Vibe jumping 91.1 percent. GM's hybrid models are also continuing to gain ground with 1,957 units moved during the month. The combined total of Tahoe and Yukon Two-Mode Hybrids topped 1,000 for the first time and the Malibu and Vue mild hybrids held steady at 382 and 443 respectively. ... (original story)

Most notably, the new iQ has what Toyota calls a 3+1 seating arrangement. The C4 WRC HyMotion4 adds an electric kinetic energy recovery system to the C4 WRC. A 125kW electric motor generator is geared to the rear axle of the all-wheel-drive rally car while a lithium ion battery pack sits on top of the fuel tank. I just got a 2008 Camry Hybrid and the cruise control turns off anytime you change lanes and hit the blinker. The dealer ship said this is normal for the Camry Hybrid and cannot find anything wrong with it. Is this normal???? It is driving me nuts! :angry: Jeremy (original story)

The Z.E. Concept is based on the Kangoo Be Bop that is also debuting at the Paris Show. The Z.E. Concept however is propelled purely by electrons coming from a lithium ion battery pack. The new Insignia that debuted this summer is the replacement for the mid-sized Vectra and the first product off GM's Epsilon II platform. The newest addition to the family uses GM's new 2.0L common rail diesel engine rated at 160 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. As with all diesels, the torque comes in early, this one peaking at 1,750 rpm.
